Paal Nilssen Love Alexander von Schlippenbach

Paal Nilssen Love/Alexander von Schlippenbach (NO/DE)

Thursday 8. January

Finally!

The All Ears boss and favorite drummer is coming - and with none other than the boss himself: Alexander von Schlippenbach.

After a quartet performance in 2024 at a memorial concert for Peter Brötzmann (including Evan Parker and John Edwards), came the idea of playing together in the near future. Now, almost two years later, we will get a (most likely) legendary meeting between the two.

Schlippenbach, born in 1938, is still a vital musician, not planning to stop any time soon. Since the 60s he has played with more or less everyone on the scene of improvising musicians. He was also an important part of FMP and the Berlin scene.

Nilssen-Love has, since he graduated from ‘konsen’ in Trondheim in 96, been a driving force of improvised music here in Norway, and the past decades having the world as his scene. His energy and stamina is un-comparable - through long collaborations with Peter Brötzmann, Frode Gjerstad, Ken Vandermark and Mats Gustafson he has always wanted to push every boundary. Where there is will - there is ability!

This will be a night to remember.
