Tanja Orning and Christian Wallumrød were two names on top of the All Ears curators wishlist - and damn if we didn't get them both as a duo! With their curiosity and uncompromising attitude to sound and music, both Orning and Wallumrød have represented innovative thinking and warm quality within their respective fields for a number of years. They say this about the upcoming meeting:
‘Christian was on Tanja's solo record 'Cellotronics', which was released in 2004. Tanja was in Christian's ensemble in the period 2005 - 2011 (until the combination of family-life with toddles and joint touring became too optimistic). In addition to this, we have played a cello and harmonium duo at countless birthdays, weddings, doctoral dinners, funerals, etc. The idea of working with duo material is far from foreign, and being invited to All Ears is probably the opportunity that makes a thief!’

Aller øverst på ønskelista til All Ears i år sto både Christian Wallumrød og Tanja Orning – og jammen fikk vi dem ikke som duo! Med sin nysgjerrighet og kompromissløse holdning har både Orning og Wallumrød representert nytenkning og varm kvalitet innenfor hver sine felt i en årrekke. De sier selv dette om det kommende møtet:
«Christian var med på Tanja’s soloplate ‘Cellotronics’, som kom ut i 2004. Tanja var med i Christian’s ensemble i perioden 2005 - 2011 (helt til kombinasjonen av småbarnsliv og felles omreisende virksomhet ble for optimistisk). Utover dette har vi spilt cello- og harmonium-duo i et utall bursdager, bryllup, doktorgradsmiddager, begravelser etc. Tanken på å jobbe med duomateriale er langt fra fremmed, og å bli invitert til All Ears er vel anledningen som gjør tyv!»
